Keith Frieser

Chief Executive Officer

Keith has been a leader in business for his entire career. Over the last 25 years, Keith has developed commercial real estate, launched successful business ventures, as well as acquired, accelerated, and sold companies.

Currently, Keith is the owner and CEO of the largest steel stress relieving company in Western Canada. The company performs post weld heat treating services with physical locations and a fleet of mobile units. Keith is also the owner and CEO of CW Manufacturing, a leading design and fabrication company for stimulation equipment used in the oil and gas industry. It’s Custom Power Generation division also designs, engineers, and fabricates prime power generation packages as well as selling a complete line of standby power generation solutions.

Keith’s real estate company, Point One Developments, has been involved in real estate development for 20 years primarily in the acquisition, development, and construction of retail and suburban office projects. With a rebranding in 2016, Keith changed the vision for PointOne towards data center real estate development. Now, with the acquisition of its site portfolio, the company is positioned to capitalize on the growing need for large format data center space by today’s leading cloud computing providers.

Elaine Feeney

President

Elaine Feeney joined PointOne as the President in 2019. Previously the Vice President of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Global Expansion, Elaine was responsible for expanding AWS’s worldwide data center facilities and network infrastructure. She oversaw the strategy, planning, and contracting of data center facilities, edge nodes/POPs, dark fiber, and subsea cable network connectivity with the aim of continually increasing the AWS portfolio globally. The AWS global portfolio consists of over 200 data centers across 55 diverse availability zones, within 18 geographic regions across the globe.

Prior to Amazon Web Services, Elaine was the CEO of Wayin, a social media search and analytics start-up. Before that, Elaine focused on her passion for renewable energy and was responsible for the business development, negotiations, and construction of large renewable energy plants. Additionally, she has more than 25 years of diverse entrepreneurial experience and software engineering leadership roles at Fortune 100 companies including Sun Microsystems, Citibank, and MCI.

Elaine has been recognized as a strong technical leader by achieving “Outstanding Women in Business”, “Entrepreneur of the Year” and “CEO of the Year” finalist awards. Elaine dedicates time to advocating the benefits of women leaders and increasing the number of women in leadership and technology-related jobs. Elaine mentors new technology start-ups as part of TechStars and The Nature Conservancy initiative to accelerate innovation to solve air, water, and climate issues.

Colin Clish

Chief Operating Officer

Colin is the Chief Operating Officer at PointOne. Colin leads the real estate execution and strategic portion of the company’s vision and oversees business operations. Colin has been engaged in real estate development in the Canadian market for 18 years. While with one of the largest and most respected real estate development companies in Alberta from 2007 to 2015, Colin was an integral part of the development, leasing, and sale of over 2.2 million square feet of industrial and office space. In 2015, Colin launched Clish Development Corp and managed project conception, investment, development, leasing, design build and industrial/commercial land transactions in and around Edmonton. Throughout his career, Colin has varied experience across the entire development process from municipal development management, project conception, market analysis, construction oversight, and leasing and asset sales.

Colin served as a Director on the Board for NAIOP Corporate North America and co-founded and was the Past-President of the Edmonton NAIOP Chapter. Colin holds a certificate in Construction Administration from the University of Alberta and a diploma in Real Estate Economics from the University of British Columbia.

Kris Keeney

Chief Legal Officer & Senior Vice President

Kris Keeney is the Chief Legal Officer and SVP at PointOne. Kris has been practicing law for over 25 years, 20 of those within his own successful business-law private practice. Kris started his law practice with the international firm Hunton Andrews Kurth (formerly Hunton & Williams) in Structured Finance and Asset-Backed Securitization. He then spent several years with Verizon, and several years as a criminal prosecutor.

Early on in his private practice, Kris focused on technology, telecommunications, software, and intellectual property, but over the years his practice broadened to include any and every type of business/corporate law and commercial law matter. Kris has orchestrated every type of business law transaction, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions, intellectual property and every type of contract associated with business ventures and transactions.

Kris received his B.S. and Masters degree (taxation) from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where he was a scholarship football player, and his J.D. from Boston College. Prior to law school, Kris was a CPA with Ernst & Young working in corporate taxation.

Jamey Wood

Vice President, Infrastructure

Jamey Wood is Vice President of Infrastructure at PointOne. Jamey has a strong technical background with experience spanning cloud computing, data center engineering, software architecture, and network engineering. Prior to joining PointOne, Jamey was a Senior Manager at Amazon Web Services leading the development and operation of systems that serve as the source of truth for inventory, topology, and utilization of power and cooling equipment in Amazon data centers. Together, these systems have provided Amazon with the necessary visibility and controls to responsibly increase the target utilization of data center power equipment by over 30% in the last three years.
 
Jamey is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience successfully leading technology and strategy for a broad range of software solutions for Fortune 100 to start-up companies. Prior to AWS, Jamey was the Chief Technology Officer at Datu Health and the Chief Strategy Officer & Chief Technology Officer at Wayin, a social media intelligence and display startup. Jamey has also worked for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and Sun Microsystems.

Joe DePalo

Advisory Board

Joe DePalo serves on the Advisory Board for PointOne. Joe currently leads the platform engineering organization at Netskope and is responsible for the design, build, and operations of the current and future generations of the Netskope infrastructure and platform. Prior to joining Netskope, Joe was the global head of internet services for Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he was responsible for the AWS Global Network and the Amazon carrier strategy. Prior to AWS, he was Senior Vice President of operations and engineering at Limelight Networks. There, he and his team built the second-largest content delivery network in the world. Joe has been building and managing the largest networks in the world for over 20 years.

Monique Meche

Advisory Board

Monique Meche serves on the Advisory Board for PointOne. Monique is currently the VP, Global Public Policy & Philanthropy at Twitter. She joined Twitter in 2020 from Waymo, where she had served as the Global Head of Public Policy & Government Relations. Prior to Waymo, she was a Senior Advisor to the Albright Stonebridge Group. Previously, Monique served as the Vice President of Global Public Policy at Netflix, Vice President of International Public Policy at Amazon, and has held various senior roles at other large international corporations such as Cisco and Intel.

George Tully

Sales Director, Virginia Beach

George Tully is the Sales Director of PointOne’s NAP of Virginia Beach. Mr. Tully is a 25 year veteran of the telecommunications industry. After leading sales and services for UUNET in Latin America and the Caribbean he has served stints in a variety of roles in the data center, dark fiber, satellite, subsea cables, and cloud verticals at the executive level. Prior to joining PointOne, Mr. Tully was VP of Business Development for startup Globalinx Data Centers. Mr. Tully was responsible for business growth and promoting the availability of Globalinx Data Centers and build to scale solutions to cloud, telecom, OTT’s, hyperscalers, enterprise and carrier/dark fiber providers. Mr. Tully has a thorough understanding of all North America and international carriers backbone network which enabled him to cultivate a strong ecosystem for the Virginia Beach data center market.
 
Previously, Mr. Tully was Vice President of International/Carriers at FTS and Vice President of International/Carriers at AiNET where he played major roles in executing sales strategies and driving large enterprise and wholesale colocation and private cloud deployments. Mr. Tully has been characterized over his career for playing a strategic role in building relationships with end clients, agents, partners, dark fiber providers and carriers along with working closely with multi-tenant colocation providers and has a successful track record with executing colocation, interconnections, cloud, and hosting solutions. Mr. Tully holds a BA from the American University School of International Service.

Kelly Newman

General Manager, Virginia Beach

Kelly Newman is the General Manager of our Virginia Beach facility. Kelly joined PointOne in 2019, building upon a distinguished 22 year career within the competitive telecom industry, with an accomplished track record for delivering and sustaining revenue and profit gains. Prior to joining PointOne, Kelly was the Chief Financial Officer of the start-up Globalinx Data Centers. While there, she handled many roles including revenue generation strategy and execution, global sales and corporate development, construction, marketing, technical data center operations, subsea cable connectivity, strategic planning, and overall data center design.

Kelly has been characterized over her career for building and finding the right strategic partnerships that result in successful mutual revenue growth and cost savings.

Previously, Kelly spent over 7 years at BCE Nexxia, a division of Bell Canada, where she was Director or US & International Carrier Sales. Kelly has also held positions at Metromedia Fiber, Fiberlight and Apptix where she played key roles in managing and leading sales teams, go-to-market strategies, construction, dark fiber, and financial planning.

Kelly resides in the Virginia Beach area and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Old Dominion University.
